Providing Optimum Forging Technology by a Unique Development Support System
Development Support System
To meet every need for precision forging, Nichidai has established a unique development support system which undertakes all the process from a development contract to mass production and is using the system to provide support for technical development activities.

CAD environment
Nichidai is inputting its designing know-how built over many years into its CAD/CAE system. The Company strives to standardize and quantify die designing and provides advanced technical expertise. It also uses CAE to analyze the forming process by dies in detail. It finds the optimum forging method in the result of the analysis, and is working to reduce the delivery period.
CAE environment
Nichidai is among the first to introduce CAE. It now uses four types of software and offers various analysis services at the request of customers.
CAE outline
Applied to forging process design and die design. (corresponding to 2D and 3D)
Utilized for contract development work and in-house development.
2D forging and die analysis system
This system helps evaluate the strength and life of dies based on such data as the stress concentration of the die radius, the stress distribution of the entire die and the state of deformation. Figure: 2D forging and die analysis system
3D forging and die analysis system
This system performs the 3D simulation of the load and deformation behavior of nonaxisymmetric products, such as bevel gears, spiders and clutch gears, which are hard to be checked by the 2D forging analysis system. The system can collect more realistic data. Figure: 3D forging and die analysis system
